Good question. I don't wear a tie, but I love picking them out. Crazy, I know.

Ties make us look good.
But really, women run the world. They just have tricked all the men into doing all the work.
I concur but add: why would we women walk around on painful stilts all day?
I think the answer is the same: to be "more attractive" so we can get in the other gender's pants. Me-ow!
They'll get there.... It's better than the full on outfits they'd have to fenangle themselves into 150 years ago!
That's one of many reasons I don't have a job. Well, that, and I also find pants restrictive.

pj stole my answer! they can deal with neck-nooses as long as we put up with stilettos :-)
I've actually been told that men sub-consciously like ties because it becomes an arrow that points straight to their dick.
This may be the reason I'm constantly drawn to grab them...ties, I mean.
I think Jade is onto something. I wear one because when in danger I can use it as rope when in need of escape from a not very tall building.
